Easy Steps
01Wash the basil leaves and tomatoes and pat dry. Cut the tomatoes into thin slices.
02Layer walternate slices of tomatoes and mozzarella, adding a basil leaf between each, on a large, shallow platter or a salad bowl.
03Drizzle the salad with extra-virgin olive oil and season with salt and pepper, as per your requirement.
04Top it off with the balsamic vinegar.

- Mozzarella cheese: 1/4-inch thick slices or small cubes
- Sweet basil leaves: 10 – 20
- Extra-virgin olive oil: for drizzling
- Balsamic vinegar for drizzling (optional)
- Salt and pepper as per taste
Serve with garlic aioli on the side or on top of the salad for a little flavour.
