Akki roti is comforting and delicious, and actor Rashmika Mandanna says she could have it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Different types of akki roti can be made, but the most common ingredient in each recipe is the rice flour.

Easy Steps
01In a large bowl, add the rice flour. Make sure you choose fine rice flour and not the coarse type.
02Add in the onions, dill leaves, coriander, curry leaves, ginger, chillies, cumin and salt.
03Next, add in the ¾ cup of water to the large bowl and start mixing.
04Add more water if required and knead into a smooth and soft dough. Keep the dough aside.
- Brown rice flour: 3 cups
- Finely chopped onions: 2
- Dill leaves (sabsige soppu): 3 tbsp
- Finely chopped coriander: 3 tbsp
- Finely chopped curry leaves: 3 tbsp
- Grated ginger: 1 inch
- Finely chopped chillies: 2
- Cumin: 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as required
- Oil for roasting the rotis
Grease a tawa with some oil. Place the greased tawa on medium flame.
06Take a ball sized piece of dough and tap it gently or roll into a thin roti shape. Place the roti on the greased tawa.
07Cook on both sides and add some oil on the roti until it turns golden brown.
