This avocado chocolate mousse is a delightful treat that satisfies your sweet tooth while nourishing your body, made with wholesome, healthy, natural ingredients. While the calorie count of this dessert may seem on the higher side, it's important to note that these calories come from good, healthy fats found in avocados, combined with nutrient-rich cocoa powder.

Avocados are an excellent superfood, being completely cholesterol-free. They are also a fantastic source of dietary fibre, providing approximately 13 grams per avocado. This makes them not only a delicious addition to your meals but also a beneficial choice for promoting digestive health and overall well-being. Additionally, avocados are a treasure trove of essential vitamins and minerals, containing generous amounts of vitamins K, E, and C, as well as several B vitamins. They even surpass bananas in potassium content, a vital nutrient for maintaining healthy blood pressure and optimal muscle function. With less than one gram of sugar per ounce, avocados have the least amount of sugar per serving of any fruit, and they act as a “nutrient booster” by helping the body to better absorb fat-soluble nutrients.

Cocoa powder, the other star ingredient in this mousse, is also loaded with antioxidants and has been linked to various health benefits, including improved heart health and reduced inflammation. Sweeteners like honey or maple syrup provide natural sweetness and additional nutrients, while vanilla extract adds a delightfully aromatic flavour.

We consulted with Dr. Lakshmi Kilaru, Head Nutritionist at UR.Life, who graciously shared this nutritious dessert recipe.
