Chia seeds are a great source of omega 3, it can help stabilize blood sugar, promote energy and endurance, which is why it’s called a ‘superfood’. Sabja seeds can be used as a substitute as they are one of the best coolants for the body, good source of iron, which combats acidity and relieves of constipation!


Ingredients list

  • Chia seeds: ½ cup
  • Coconut milk: 1 ½ cups
  • Water: ½ cup
  • Maple syrup or jaggery syrup: ½ cup
  • Strong filter coffee decoction: 2 ½ tablespoons
  • Vanilla extract: 1 tablespoon
  • Cocoa powder: ¼ cup
  • Salt: 1 pinch

Step 1 :

Sift the cocoa into a bowl. Pour in the filter coffee along with the coconut milk, water, maple syrup, salt and vanilla. Stir together. Add the chia seeds to the cocoa mixture and mix till well-combined. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Step 2 :

In a high-speed blender, combine the cocoa mixture with the well-soaked chia seeds till smooth. Pour the resultant chocolate mousse into glasses and refrigerate for at least 3 hours till it is well set. Garnish with some grated vegan dark chocolate and enjoy!
