Homemade and Gluten-free – Cauliflower Crust Pizza

Almost everyone in the world loves pizza, a classic food perfect for every mood. If you're looking to switch things up and try a thin crust pizza base that doesn't use refined flour or gluten, here is an easy-to-make pizza recipe that has a cauliflower crust instead. It contains just a few ingredients such as eggs, cheese, and some herbs and spices for seasoning—most of which can be found in your pantry. You can customise the pizza toppings to suit your taste buds. We are going to be adding chilli flakes, as we hear they can boost your metabolism.

Easy Steps


Preheat your oven to 210°C. For the pizza base, grate the cauliflower finely in a bowl.


Beat the egg in a separate bowl. Add in the egg and the mozzarella cheese with the grated cauliflower and combine well.


Pour the cauliflower and egg mix into a baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 8 minutes.


Take the baking dish out and flatten out the base evenly using a spatula or a spoon. Bake again for 15 minutes.

Ingredients List
  • Grated cauliflower: 2 bowls
  • Mozzarella cheese: 2 bowls
  • Parmesan cheese : 1 bowl
  • Cherry tomatoes: 5 or 6
  • Whole egg: 1
  • Garlic cloves: 4
  • Basil leaves: 4 or 5
  • Tomato sauce as required
  • Chilli flakes as required
  • Salt to taste



Take the dish out again and sprinkle the salt and chilli flakes on the base. Layer the tomato sauce evenly on top of the base.


Crush the garlic cloves and sprinkle over the tomato sauce. Then, sprinkle the parmesan cheese and cherry tomatoes evenly.


Bake the pizza for 8 minutes. Let it cool. Garnish the pizza with the fresh basil leaves. Slice with a pizza cutter or knife and serve.
