Easy Steps
01Start by draining and rinsing the chickpeas in a colander under cold running water. Make sure to drain them thoroughly, and you can use a paper towel to gently pat them dry to remove excess moisture.
02In a bowl, toss the chickpeas with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings you prefer. Be creative and add your favourite spices to customise the flavour. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes.
03Place the seasoned chickpeas in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook the chickpeas in the preheated air fryer for about 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket or tossing the chickpeas with tongs every 5-7 minutes.
- 200g chickpeas
- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional, for extra flavour)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin (optional)
- Your choice of additional seasonings
Once the chickpeas are done, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes. They will become even crispier as they cool down.
05Serve your air fryer chickpeas as a crunchy snack, a topping for salads, or a side for your favourite dishes.
