They say life comes full circle and on Mother’s Day, that circle feels especially vivid. It’s a time to reflect on the women who raised us, supported us, and showed us what strength, love, and resilience truly mean.

At UR.Life, we asked our team to open up about their experiences with motherhood, whether as working moms, daughters, or admirers of the women who made them who they are. What emerged was a heartfelt collection of stories, reflections, and deeply personal truths.

“I am proud to embrace motherhood for all the right reasons.

I did not do it to conform to society's expectations or to fit. My decision to become a mother was not driven by a desire to carry on a legacy or to strengthen my marriage. I chose to have a child when I was emotionally prepared to give unconditional love & care that my child deserves for his/her overall well-being.”

What's something you wish more people understood about being a working mom?

“They say life comes full circle. This is a story of a journey—of guilt, perseverance, and pride. I carried the guilt of ambition, the weight of wanting a career while raising children. I became a mom while pursuing my master’s, went on to complete a PhD, and built a career. I wrestled between ambition, motherhood, and juggled life's unexpected curveballs, constantly wondering if I was doing enough.

But today, my proudest moment isn't the degree or the title. It’s watching my daughter aim for a PhD just like her mom. She saw strength where I saw struggle. And now I know: the example I set was never about choosing one role over the other—it was showing her she could have dreams, chase them, and not feel guilty for wanting more.”

For many working mothers, the path is far from easy. Balancing a career and motherhood is often a tightrope walk of guilt, ambition, and love. But within those struggles lies strength, and within that strength, a powerful legacy.

What does motherhood mean to you?

“No mother is perfect, but enjoying parenthood before children grow up is the greatest joy.”

-UR.Life Employee

“Balancing parenting and work isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence, purpose, and showing up with heart wherever you are.”

Motherhood isn’t defined by doing it all, rather, it’s defined by being there. The small, quiet moments of presence often leave the most lasting impact.

What's your mom's superpower?

“My mom’s superpower is her peace and patience, steady and giving, like the earth itself, even to those who dig into it.”

- UR.Life Employee

“Perseverance: the way she handles every situation with ease is the eminent trait that my mother holds as a superwoman.”

- UR.Life Employee

“Because of my mom’s constant support, I’m able to work in peace, stay healthy, and never miss a meal; her strength as a homemaker is the quiet power that holds everything together.”

These stories are a reminder that moms are superheroes in their own way, whether through silent strength, emotional resilience, or unwavering support. Their impact is immeasurable, their presence unforgettable.

What would you say to a new mom just starting this journey?

“Take it one day at a time. Trust your instincts. And don’t be afraid to ask for help—you’re not supposed to do it all alone.”

“You’re stronger than you think. The love you’ll feel will carry you through even the hardest nights.”

Every mom starts somewhere, uncertain, hopeful, and learning as they go. A few kind words from those who’ve walked the path before can make all the difference.

What’s the biggest lesson motherhood has taught you?

“That love doesn’t always look perfect. Sometimes it’s messy, tired, and stretched thin but it’s still love. I’ve learned that being present is more important than being perfect.”

“Motherhood taught me patience not just with my children, but with myself. It taught me to embrace growth, even if it’s slow and imperfect.”
Motherhood often becomes the greatest teacher. It teaches resilience, empathy, and the power of showing up even when you're running on empty. The journey transforms not just the child but the parent too.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate them all.

To every mom navigating career and caregiving, to every daughter inspired by her mother’s journey, to every woman redefining what motherhood means—we see you, we appreciate you, and we celebrate you.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at UR.Life.
