Easy Steps

Soak the dates in a bowl of warm water.

Use a grater at its finest setting to zest half the lemon.

Place the oats, ginger, cinnamon and lemon zest in a food processor and whizz until the oats are slightly round and the other ingredients are mixed thoroughly.

Add the dates, coconut oil and honey and whizz again until everything is combined well.

  • Oats: 3½ cups
  • Honey: ¼ cup
  • Soft dates: 8 to 10
  • Grounded ginger: 2 tsp
  • Cinnamon: 1 tsp
  • Zest of lemon: ½ a lemon
  • Coconut oil (melted): 1 tbsp
