Easy Steps
01Add all the ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
02Place a paper towel in the bottom of a small dish or bowl (this will help absorb excess water) then lay a cheese cloth over it.
03Add the almond mix over the cheese cloth and tie the top.
04Place in the fridge for at least 6 hours or overnight allowing the mixture to harden. (Do not throw out the water that is released from the cheese cloth)
- 250gm Peeled Almonds (soaked over night)
- ¼ Ghee
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon Powder
- Juice of ½ a Lemon
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Powder or Extract
- 1 Cup Maple Syrup (add more to taste)
- ½ Cup Water
Carefully transfer to a baking dish and bake at 180C for 20 minutes or until slightly golden around the edges.
06Pour the left over water that drains out from cake right before serving. Garnish with some saffron and almonds.
