Seed Modaks | Ganesh Chaturthi Special Recipe
Ganesh Chaturthi is here, and when you’re looking to make your favourite modaks but with a twist, chef, curator of Tasty Food Tales and Table Scapes, Natasha Mehta can help. Try out these healthy modaks that pack a punch at any pooja!
Modaks have been associated with Ganesha for decades, but that’s no reason to say no to modaks otherwise! While traditional modaks that are sold tend to be very sweet, high in processed sugars and other fats, Natasha’s modak recipe is much more healthier and nutritious. The inclusion of seeds instead of flour makes them high in Omega-3 fats and a gluten-free option for those with diet restrictions.
The high amount of seeds can aid in balancing hormones, reducing sweet cravings, and bloating while giving you a boost of energy. They are perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up, or to serve to guests any time during the day. Whip these up within minutes and garnish them with rose petals for the extra touch, and you’re all done!
