The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare stated in December 2021 to the Lok Sabha that 74.2 million in the age group 20-79 suffer from diabetes, and this number will increase to approximately 124.8 million by 2045. Diabetes has been called the ‘silent killer’ by many experts because of the lack of symptoms and diagnosis of the condition. However, if you have a family history of diabetes or have been found with high blood sugar, it’s important to start making changes when you can.
