simplicity
- 20 dates
- 1/3 cup peanut butter
- 150g dark chocolate
- ¼ cup chopped nuts for decoration (almonds, pistachios, and walnuts)
Easy Steps
01Place the dates in a piping bag. Use a glass to gently press them down and flatten the dates into an even layer.
02Spoon the nut butter into the piping bag and add a layer of nut butter on top of the flattened dates. Use the glass again to spread the nut butter evenly over the dates.
03Fold over the open end of the piping bag and freeze the filled dates until firm (about 1-2 hours).
04Melt the chocolate using a boiler or in the microwave. If using the microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
05Once the date and nut butter layers are frozen, pipe or spread the melted chocolate over the top. Next, sprinkle with chopped nuts for extra texture and flavour.
06Let the chocolate set (in the fridge or at room temperature) until firm. Enjoy your delicious Xmas date bark.
